About The Position

The Business Technology Sr Manager utilizes technical expertise, business acumen, strategic execution, relationship and leadership skills to lead a team in designing, developing, implementing and maintaining a set of interrelated technology platforms that deliver on the strategic technology and operational objectives of the Consumer line of business. This role involves managing a technology portfolio of greater complexity and breadth, requiring frequent interaction and collaboration across various groups and technologies, and generally including one or more critical applications. The manager will build, advocate for, and maintain the technology strategy for one or more lines of business, aligning with enterprise architectural standards and bringing emerging technologies into the organization. The role also includes leading large-scale, multi-year technology programs, overseeing 24/7 production support, and managing a team of analysts, PMs, engineers, and developers.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree (preferred) OR equivalent experience (required)
• 7+ years of relevant experience (required)
• Expert knowledge of and the ability to consult on development and delivery of new or enhanced business applications.
• Extensive experience with the values and practices that align customer needs and satisfaction as primary considerations in all business decisions and ability to leverage that information in creating customized customer solutions.
• Expert knowledge of marketplace experience, developments and trends related to the organization's use of Information Technology (IT); ability to apply this knowledge appropriately to benefit the organization.
• Extensive experience with effective project management strategies and tactics and ability to plan, organize, monitor, and control projects, ensuring efficient utilization of technical and administrative resources to achieve project objectives.

Responsibilities

• Manage, develop and ensure the engagement and effective execution of a small to medium size team which may include business analysts, project managers and/or scrum masters, engineers, developers, external resources and vendors against line of business or functional technology deliverables.
• Emerge as a leader for attracting and developing internal and external talent.
