About The Position

As a Specialty Digital Sales Specialist, you will drive profitable revenue growth for United Rentals’ specialty business through the company’s digital platform using the CRM tool Saleforce.com. This is an excellent opportunity if you desire a sales and customer service career in the applicable Specialty Region. The ideal candidate will exceed expectations of internal and external customers by providing products and solutions and exceptional service and support through email and other communication channels while driving digital tool adoption.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 1-2 years customer service and/or sales experience
  • United Rentals inside sales experience preferred
  • Excellent verbal, written communication skills and ability to articulate and speak clearly
  • Data entry skills-40 wpm
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications
  • Ability to apply critical thinking skills
  • Acumen for mechanically-inclined concepts
  • Flexible, reliable and dependable
  • Ability to deal with a high volume of tasks, stressful, and sometimes unfamiliar situations
  • Excellent time management and efficiency skills
  • Organizational skills with heavy attention to detail
  • Deals constructively with conflict and responds professionally
  • Strong level of customer service

Responsibilities

  • Assist customers with applicable Specialty Region rental solutions and service inquiries through: email, phone, online ordering platform
  • Advocate for customers and partner with United Rentals field employees to facilitate reservations, quotes, and service inquiries
  • Track, maintain, follow up and communicate with customers and log activities using SF.com
  • Identify and qualify by engaging in conversations with the customer in order to identify their specific need
  • Engineer and quote specific solutions that meet customer requirements
  • Convert quotes to reservations and coordinate delivery with the field branch locations
  • Leverage internal resources for quoting moderate-to-high technical solutions
  • Develop and foster internal relationships with field personnel
  • Develop a base knowledge on the fundamentals of all products and solution offerings by the applicable Specialty Region
  • Learn how to devise solutions for targeted applications using our diverse fleet and often complex solutions to customer needs
  • Develop Subject Matter Expertise on all United Rentals technology tools e.g. (Total Control; UR Control; UR1 etc.)
  • Provide customer service, quotes and reservations for select National and Strategic Accounts
  • Create a positive and consistent customer service experience while reducing customer’s effort
  • Accurately capture all customer data accurately to ensure Order Accuracy
  • Negotiate rental rates for equipment rentals in accordance with pricing policies and procedures
  • Other duties as assigned
