About The Position

BJ’s Wholesale Club is seeking a Digital Product Manager to own and deliver the product roadmap for the Purchase Path, focusing on cart and checkout experiences across web and mobile app. This role involves defining and prioritizing enhancements to improve usability, completion rates, payment flow, promotion visibility, and overall member conversion. The Product Manager will serve as the product owner for these features, managing the backlog, defining requirements, prioritizing sprints, developing user stories, and ensuring release readiness. This position requires close collaboration with Product, Engineering, UX, QA, Analytics, and business stakeholders to deliver seamless end-to-end experiences. The role also involves partnering with the Personalization team to support personalized cart experiences and collaborating on cart promotions, including visibility, eligibility, savings communication, and offer application. A member-focused approach, utilizing data, experimentation, and member feedback, is crucial for identifying opportunities to increase conversion, reduce abandonment, and improve the overall purchase experience. The Product Manager will make thoughtful prioritization decisions based on business value, member impact, technical feasibility, and operational complexity. This role is part of the Purchase Path development pod.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of product management experience, preferably focused on digital commerce, cart, checkout, payments, promotions, or purchase funnel optimization, executed through Agile methodology.
  • Strong understanding of eCommerce purchase path experiences, including cart, checkout, payment flows, promotions, order submission, and post-order handoffs
  • Proven ability to own and deliver a product roadmap with accountability for measurable business and member outcomes
  • Experience working with designers, engineers, QA, analytics, and cross-functional stakeholders to coordinate, plan, execute, and track product releases from beginning to end
  • Ability to translate complex business, technical, and operational needs into clear product requirements and prioritized user stories
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate product strategy, roadmap decisions, trade-offs, risks, and results to stakeholders at multiple levels

Responsibilities

  • Own and deliver the product roadmap for Purchase Path, with primary responsibility for cart and checkout experiences across web and mobile app
  • Define and prioritize enhancements that improve cart usability, checkout completion, payment flow, promotion visibility, and overall member conversion
  • Serve as the product owner for cart and checkout features, including backlog management, requirements definition, sprint prioritization, user story development, acceptance criteria, and release readiness
  • Partner with Product, Engineering, UX, QA, Analytics, and business stakeholders to deliver seamless end-to-end cart and checkout experiences
  • Collaborate closely with the Personalization team to support personalized cart experiences, recommendations, promotion awareness, and relevant member messaging within the purchase journey
  • Support cart promotions and promotional capabilities, including visibility, eligibility messaging, savings communication, promo wallet concepts, coupon or offer application, and QA/testing support for promotional experiences
  • Apply a member-focused approach to define product requirements based on member needs, behavioral insights, analytics, stakeholder input, and business priorities
  • Use data, experimentation, and member feedback to identify opportunities to increase conversion, reduce abandonment, improve order accuracy, and enhance the overall purchase experience
  • Make thoughtful prioritization decisions and trade-offs based on business value, member impact, technical feasibility, operational complexity, and roadmap dependencies
  • Develop, prioritize, and execute the backlog as the product manager for the Purchase Path development pod
  • Partner with analytics teams to define success metrics, monitor performance, and communicate progress against key product and business outcomes
