About The Position

As a Digital Product Design Intern at Polaris Inc., you will support the design and development of digital experiences across Polaris products, including in-vehicle displays, companion mobile applications, and web experiences. You will work closely with product designers, engineers, researchers, and product owners, and participate in user testing and rider research to help ensure digital products are intuitive, usable, and designed for real riders and environments. This is a hands-on opportunity to gain experience in end-to-end digital product design, from early concepts and wireframes through testing, iteration, and engineering handoff. The work takes place in a collaborative, fast-paced office or studio environment, with desk work and occasional participation in user or rider testing sessions. It may also involve observing or participating in vehicle or field-testing environments. The role may be located in Medina, Minnesota, or Novi, Michigan, and requires openness and willingness to relocate. Applicants must be at least 18 years old and legally authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not provided. Successful completion of pre-employment background checks may be required. Former employees must be eligible for rehire, and current employees must be in good standing. The salary range is $19.50 to $30.75 per hour, with eligibility for overtime. Individual pay is determined by factors including education, experience, knowledge, skills, and geography; starting at the high end of the range is not common. A portfolio is required with the application and may contain school, personal, or internship projects. It should show UX and UI thinking, examples of wireframes, user flows, interaction design, or prototypes, and the applicant’s design decisions and problem-solving approach. Polished or production-ready case studies are not required; clarity of thinking is emphasized.
