About The Position

This role involves learning to operate various machines within the digital printing department. The apprentice will work closely with the Lead Digital Printer to meet schedules, pay attention to details, handle graphic files, and ensure the quality of work performed by the department. The goal is to print high-quality graphics for various visual communication products, ensuring accurate, consistent, and timely completion of production schedules while meeting quality standards.

Requirements

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines and managing multiple projects.
Ability to speak and read English fluently.

Responsibilities

Learn to operate various machines within the digital printing department.
Work with members of the department to learn to print high quality graphics that will be manufactured into various visual communication products.
Set up and run fabric through the wash line.
Start up and understand the operation of loop steamer.
Perform maintenance tasks.
Engage in color matching.
Manage spare parts.
Handle raw materials.
Ensure accurate, consistent, and timely completion of production schedules.
Perform assigned tasks within the overall workflow that produces a product that meets or exceeds customers’ expectations.
Meet quality standards at all times for all projects and provide recommendations for improvements.
Load large rolls of paper and fabrics.
Stack and organize fabric and material.
Perform general room cleaning and maintenance responsibility.
Communicate within the organization with Printing, Graphics, and Operations in a professional manner.
