Join us and let's Imagine a better way together. The Operator, Digital Press is responsible for all aspects of operating the digital printing equipment to production and quality standards. Presses that are included under “Digital Press”: Indigo, Wide Format, Dye Sublimation, Onset, Durst, Vutek, Spyder. This position is for 3rd shift hours: 10:30PM to 6:30AM.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Proficient in computer applications, including Mac and Windows operating systems.
Good written and oral communication skills.
Ability to follow documented procedures.
Ability to read and understand oral/written instructions proficiently.
Ability to read and understand tape measure and other measuring equipment.
Math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and fractions.
Reliability through attendance, punctuality, and attention to workstation.
Demonstrate a positive safety attitude.

Nice To Haves

Previous print industry experience.
Experience using an ERP system.
English proficiency is preferred to support job specific operational training and instruction requirements, workplace safety, and effective employee collaboration in a fast paced, changing environment. Many safety protocols, emergency instructions, and operational documentation are provided in English. Clear communication among team members during production activities is essential to maintain efficient workflow, adapt to changing requirements, prevent accidents, ensure compliance with safety standards, and maintain efficient workflow.

Responsibilities

Operate digital print equipment and the software necessary for print operations.
Complete jobs according to customer specifications in a timely and accurate manner.
Monitor production output throughout the run for quality.
Perform routine maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal printing conditions.
Ensure materials for the job are in stock and available for production.
Properly document production information to account for all labor and materials consumed on a job.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Properly execute pressroom Safety Procedures.
Act as a resource to Apprentice and Feeder.
Troubleshoot with the help of the Lead Operator.
Work overtime as needed.
Other duties as assigned.
