About The Position

Cursive is seeking a full-time Digital Press Operator to run HP Indigo presses producing premium labels and shrink sleeves for brands in wine & spirits, health & beauty, and food & beverage. This role is ideal for individuals with experience in offset, flexo, or commercial print who understand color, can read a job ticket, and take pride in their work. The company is well-capitalized, growing fast, and utilizes modern equipment in a clean facility. This position is based in Mason, OH.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior printing industry experience (digital, flexo, offset, or commercial print).
• Solid color judgment and ability to identify defects.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Clear communication skills and ability to work in a team.
• Ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced production environment.
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted.
• Ability to stand or walk for extended periods.
• Ability to work safely around moving equipment in a moderately loud production environment.
• Visual acuity for color, detail, and print quality.

Nice To Haves

• Label, shrink-sleeve, or narrow-web experience.
• HP Indigo experience.
• Level I Indigo Certification.
• Availability for 2nd shift or the weekend shift.

Responsibilities

• Run HP Indigo digital presses (6K, 25K, or similar) from setup to monitoring.
• Maintain color consistency and meet customer specifications.
• Read and follow job tickets for correct substrates, inks, and finishing.
• Perform daily, weekly, and monthly preventive maintenance on presses.
• Diagnose and correct print defects, escalating to support when necessary.
• Maximize uptime and throughput while ensuring quality.
• Accurately record production, quality, and material usage data.
• Propose ideas for waste reduction and shorter changeovers.
• Collaborate with shift supervisors, schedulers, and the finishing team.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Assist in other areas of the plant as needed.
