About The Position

The Digital Press Operator Tier 3 runs any one of the digital presses, including the Ricoh press, HP presses, and the Amiga 52 laminator. In this role, you will interpret print production work-orders to determine the steps needed to produce a wide variety of printing projects. This is an excellent opportunity to work independently and help deliver the highest quality print products and materials. We’re looking for someone with experience in digital printing who is reliable, self-motivated, and looking to expand their skill set. Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in digital printing.
  • Demonstrates advanced proficiency on Ricoh and/or HP Presses
  • Advanced color calibration and press profiling
  • Advanced mechanical troubleshooting
  • May be required to complete and pass Public Trust Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Independently operate multiple digital press, which includes the Ricoh presses, HP press, and Amiga laminator.
  • Operate and maintain laser etching/engraving equipment in accordance with job specifications and safety standards.
  • Prepare digital files for laser etching, ensuring proper formatting, resolution, and alignment with substrate requirements.
  • Perform regular cleaning, calibration, and preventative maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
  • Perform routine maintenance
  • Assists in training/mentoring Tier 1 and 2 operators
  • Review and interpret production work orders.
  • Communicate with other departments and staff members to gather any additional information needed to complete the job.
  • Troubleshoot advanced-level problems and take corrective action, make repairs, and notify supervisors.
  • Communicate information to other shift operators.
  • Identifies and recommends process improvements
  • Work with safety in mind at all times and report any potential unsafe circumstances.
  • Is open and willing to work in other departments if requested.
  • Does other duties as assigned.
