About The Position

Digital Press Operator Bring your attention to detail and hands-on skills to our Print, Mail and Distribution team as a Digital Press Operator I. In this role, you’ll keep projects moving by setting up and running digital print equipment, ensuring quality results, and helping maintain equipment for smooth, reliable production. Requirements

  • High School Diploma required.
  • Experience working with digital printers preferred.
  • Ability to learn how to operate digital press and lift truck.
  • Ability to pay attention to details and prioritize tasks.
  • Ability to remain in a stationary position and move about the workspace for up to 100% of the work day.
  • Position self to access materials, extend reach, and repeatedly perform primary work duties.
  • Move and reposition inventory or equipment weighing up to 70 pounds.
  • Activate, control, and navigate machinery according to established safety protocols.
  • Use a computer to enter and review information
  • Ability to comply with workplace safety signals and monitor conditions for compliance with safety protocols.

Responsibilities

  • Review work orders to determine proper setup and operating procedures for digital printers.
  • Format or impose forms and electronic files for printing.
  • Monitor paper stock usage, report flow inventory to supervisors.
  • Order and maintain adequate supplies.
  • Maintain knowledge of production finishing (bindery) functions.
  • Maintain serviceability of printers, including routine maintenance.
  • Obtain entry level knowledge to operate any device in the digital fleet, including frontend software.
  • Ensure working areas, conditions and equipment are safe and free from obstructions in order to perform duties.
  • Follow all equipment and building safety procedures.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.
