The Digital Platform Consultant (Pre-Sales – Retirement Services) position is a highly visible role within Voya’s Retirement technology organization that expertly supports the business development and relationship management teams across all market segments in demonstrating Voya’s customer-facing, award-winning digital technology properties. This role functions similarly to a Solutions Consultant or Pre-Sales Consultant within financial services, partnering closely with sales teams to deliver client-facing digital platform demonstrations in support of new business and client engagements. As a key member of the sales pursuit process, this individual plays a critical role in finalist presentations and client meetings, translating Voya’s digital capabilities into clear, compelling business value for plan sponsors, advisors, and consultants. The Digital Technology Consultant also works as a digital technology subject matter expert for internal business partners and external clients alike and collaborates with Voya’s digital product owners to stay well-informed about industry trends, market demands, regulatory changes, and offers guidance and thought leadership with the technology roadmap. A successful Digital Technology Consultant is a high-performing professional who has a natural affinity and passion for retirement products and digital technology, is comfortable in presentation and presales environments, a team player and client-driven, and excels with a high degree of accountability. This is a highly interactive, client-facing role that requires confidence presenting to senior stakeholders and the ability to tell a compelling story using digital technology solutions in a sales-driven environment. This is not a quota-carrying sales role, but a critical partner to the sales process and client engagement lifecycle. This role focuses exclusively on the contributions noted below with no programming or software development tasks required or expected. This position is primarily remote, with flexibility to work from home or from one of our major office locations using a hybrid schedule. The role requires regular client-facing travel (approximately 25% on average), including a mix of day trips and overnight stays based on sales activity.
