About The Position

NextGen America is seeking a creative, self-starting Digital Organizing Associate to join their Digital Organizing team. This role will focus on building and growing strong digital communities to engage young voters, expand ballot access, and elect progressives. The associate will spread the #YouthVote across digital networks, recruit and escalate online participants into volunteer networks, and lead volunteer teams in direct voter contact using peer-to-peer (P2P) texting and other digital tools. This is a fully remote position with no location requirement, open to candidates across the United States. The role reports to the Senior Digital Organizing Manager.

Requirements

  • Experience in field or digital positions on political campaigns, training volunteers, OR managed and grown active online communities.
  • Exceptional writing, copyediting, and proofreading skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt rapidly to evolving priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong work ethic and consistent attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic team environment.
  • Positive team player.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience growing and managing digital volunteer teams.
  • Experience and comfortability with leading digital trainings and/or events.
  • Proficiency with digital communication tools like Google Workspace, Slack, and Zoom.
  • Familiarity administering and managing peer-to-peer texting or phone banking campaigns on platforms such as Scale to Win, ThruText (formerly Relay), Spoke, ThruTalk, VPBConnect, or other.
  • Familiarity with graphics and editing tools like Canva or Adobe Creative Suite.

Responsibilities

  • Execute a values-driven and data-informed digital organizing program to recruit, train, and organize remote volunteers for voter contact and mobilization goals.
  • Run regular voter contact campaigns, including data requests, drafting, QA, launch, debrief, and cleanup.
  • Draft and edit training guides, memos, templates, and toolkits for volunteer direct voter contact via email, phone, text, Slack, and other platforms.
  • Lead trainings or workshops and coach volunteers.
  • Recruit, train, and engage a team of volunteer leaders.
  • Pull regular data metrics and write progress reports on the impact of direct voter contact.
  • Act as a digital community manager and administrator.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
