About The Position

Apple is seeking an engineer to join its wireless silicon development modeling and verification team in Cupertino, California. The role focuses on modeling and verifying analog, RF, and mixed-signal blocks and SoCs using SystemVerilog, including creating behavioral models, testbenches, checkers, and tests. The engineer will develop and execute test plans that meet project schedules and quality requirements. As part of the digital mixed-signal modeling team, the engineer will develop behavioral models for verification of wireless SoCs and help integrate mixed-signal models onto emulation platforms. The work supports multiple pre-silicon validation teams and contributes to ensuring fully functional first silicon. The role involves hands-on development and collaboration across teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree and a minimum of 10 years of relevant industry experience.
  • Self-motivated individual contributor with a strong passion for the team’s success.
  • Hands-on experience in mixed-signal verification and real-number modeling of mixed-signal systems.
  • Knowledge of one or more wireless technologies, such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, UWB, or radio systems generally.
  • Knowledge of basic analog circuits, such as PLLs, LDOs, bandgaps, and ADCs/DACs.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Ph.D. or master’s degree with 5+ years of experience modeling analog/RF circuits.
  • Good understanding of emulation technologies and mixed-signal modeling requirements for synthesis-ready models.
  • Experience modeling with SystemC and/or C/C++.
  • Experience writing scripts in languages such as Perl or Python.
  • Knowledge of signal processing using Python or MATLAB.
  • Good understanding of AMS and wireless circuits/systems.
  • Experience with SystemC modeling and high-level synthesis.

Responsibilities

  • Model and verify analog, RF, and mixed-signal blocks and SoCs using SystemVerilog.
  • Create behavioral models, testbenches, checkers, and tests.
  • Build and execute test plans to meet project schedules and quality requirements.
  • Develop behavioral models to verify wireless SoCs.
