About The Position

The Digital Merchandising Specialist will be responsible for the digital presentation of inventory direct to customers. This role will assist in the strategic development and experience of Fresh Thyme’s shoppable platforms, while being responsible for daily merchandising operations. The goal of the Digital Merchandising Specialist is to drive customers into the purchase funnel to increase conversion and drive incremental revenue. In addition, this role will collaborate closely with the merchandising category leads, marketing, operations, analytics, product and IT to create a seamless digital experience for Fresh Thyme customers. This position follows a Hybrid schedule: Monday-Wednesday in Downer’s Grove Support office, Thursday-Friday remote.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent retail experience
  • 1-3 years of merchandising, e-commerce or retail experience
  • Knowledge of the retail/e-Commerce industry
  • Understanding of product lines and online customer purchase behaviors
  • Analytical skills with the ability to synthesize and report out on data
  • Understanding of site search experience and functionality
  • Proficient in Content Management Systems (CMS) and web analytics tools
  • Proactive and solution oriented
  • Strong communication, collaboration and presentation skills
  • Agile mindset with the ability to learn company systems, processes and tools while identifying opportunities for improvement
  • Highly detail-oriented and organized

Nice To Haves

  • Google Analytics experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development of the overall omnichannel merchandising experience and strategy to drive digital sales growth
  • Analyze Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to monitor performance and customer engagement to inform future strategies
  • Partner closely with the merchandising category leads to curate product assortments within the digital presentation of inventory direct to consumer
  • Build a seamless e-commerce experience that improves digital discoverability through optimizing taxonomy, product imagery, search, filters and product attributions.
  • Generate reporting and insights to share with management.
  • Identify and scope future digital opportunities in collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders; including but not limited enhancements, optimization and process changes
  • Communicate enhancements, optimizations, process change, etc. with key partners throughout the organization
  • Responsible for Quality Assurance within the CMS operations workflow, as well as the customer-facing content published in production.
  • Collaborates with Marketing department, Customer Service, Operations and Technical Support (including 3rd party services) to discuss, analyze and resolve website and mobile application issues.
  • Partner with merchandising services, merchant and operations teams to develop SOPs for all processes connected to e-commerce including rollout of communication and training for developed SOPs.
