About The Position

Join Best Buy Ads as Digital Media Specialist focused on maximizing onsite display advertising revenue and performance. As an experienced media planner and ad operations specialist with programmatic expertise, you will play a key role on our retail media ad operations team. This will include media planning & campaign optimizations for direct-sold campaigns, involving ongoing analysis, forecasting, inventory management, audience targeting and media plan creation. We are currently hiring for a 17-month fixed-term opportunity with our Best Buy Ads team. We practice a remote first working model, leveraging in person interactions at our head office, in beautiful Vancouver, BC, for strategic, collaborative and social purposes. Requirements

  • 4+ years experience with programmatic media buying and/or selling, media planning and campaign trafficking.
  • Experience working in Google Ad Manager (sell-side)
  • Expert knowledge of the programmatic ecosystem and strong digital media planning experience
  • Advanced experience with Google platforms (GAM, DV360, SA360, GA4) and Excel
  • Strong communication skills with ability to juggle competing priorities and meet tight execution timelines

Responsibilities

  • Develop detailed media plans for onsite display campaigns that balance campaign objectives, inventory availability and audience strategy to maximize performance
  • Working in Google Ad Manager, monitor day-to-day campaign pacing and performance, making optimizations to ensure campaigns deliver in full and meet their objectives
  • Adjust pricing rules and manage block lists to meet budget targets and maximize revenue from complementary, non-endemic advertisers
  • Work with existing open bidding partners and expand demand sources and partnerships where possible
  • Maintain and update media planning templates, tools, SOPs and forecasts, applying best practices to ensure consistency and efficiency in media plan creation
  • Collaborate with the Analytics team to maintain and enhance program dashboards and KPIs, providing insights and ensuring data-driven decision-making.
  • Address and resolve daily operational issues related to onsite display campaigns.
  • Support team prioritization and planning practices, taking on additional projects to advance the program.
  • Leverage and update training materials and support coaching of team and program partners (PCMs).
  • Support sales in prospecting new clients and selling programmatic display options to advertisers and third-party agencies.
