If you are a caring innovator who believes work should be life-centered and impactful, then this is where you come in… The Digital Marketing Writer plays a key role in shaping compelling, high-impact content that supports the organization’s marketing objectives and brand voice across channels. Working in close collaboration with the Marketing Content Manager, Strategy & Operations Manager, and Social Media Specialist, this role is responsible for developing persuasive email and social media content that drives engagement, increases website traffic, and supports conversion goals. With a strong understanding of the B2B industry, the Digital Marketing Writer translates complex ideas and Learning & Development (L&D) industry trends into clear, relevant, and audience-focused messaging. By combining creativity with data-informed insights, this role contributes to the effectiveness of multi-channel campaigns and supports the successful execution of marketing initiatives. This is a part-time freelance opportunity for a candidate based in the United States. This is a remote opportunity; the hours will ebb and flow and should not exceed 9 hours per week. The contract will be up to 6 months in duration, with the possibility of extension.

Requirements

  • Strong experience with Google enterprise tools (Drive, Docs, Slides), Atlassian Confluence, and Jira.
  • Demonstrated expertise in copywriting for B2B, with the ability to craft clear, persuasive, and error-free content tailored to diverse audiences and marketing objectives.
  • Experience with UX writing and generative AI–assisted content development, leveraging emerging tools to enhance efficiency and content performance.
  • Familiarity with digital marketing platforms, including email marketing tools (e.g., Mailchimp, HubSpot) and social media tools; hands-on experience is a strong advantage.
  • Strong adaptability, with the ability to quickly learn and apply brand voice, adopt new technologies, and pivot messaging and formats to support evolving campaign needs.
  • Solid understanding of marketing best practices, including audience segmentation, engagement strategies, and conversion-focused content development.
  • Highly organized with strong time management skills, able to manage multiple priorities and consistently meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proactive, solution-oriented communicator who collaborates effectively with cross-functional teams while maintaining a high degree of independence.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to quality, accuracy, and brand consistency across all deliverables.

Responsibilities

  • Own the content development of high-performing email marketing content, including compelling subject lines, A/B-tested campaigns, welcome journeys, newsletters, and promotional sends. Ensure all email communications are audience-specific, conversion-focused, and aligned with broader campaign objectives.
  • Partner with internal thought leaders to craft engaging, conversion-driven messaging for both virtual and in-person events. Translate event value propositions into clear, persuasive descriptions that drive registration and attendance.
  • Create and optimize social media content across platforms such as LinkedIn, Instagram, and Facebook, maintaining a consistent brand voice while driving engagement, audience growth, and measurable business outcomes.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional marketing stakeholders to ensure alignment with strategic priorities, while operating with a high degree of autonomy to manage deliverables, timelines, and content quality as an independent contractor.
