About The Position

The Digital Marketing & Communications Coordinator will work within the Academic Development Branch, Education Delivery Division, Department of Education at the United States Air Force School of Aerospace Medicine (USAFSAM). This role involves supporting communications and marketing activities, creating and designing digital signage, and consulting on professional marketing practices. The position requires collaboration with a team of mass communications professionals to achieve strategic communication goals and ensure all products meet branding requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in digital marketing, advertising, communications, or educational marketing.
  • Experience working in a cross-functional team collaborating with graphic designers, photographers, videographers, etc.
  • Experience with digital signage platforms (understanding screen ratios, motion graphics, and optimal content duration).
  • Proficiency in tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (especially InDesign or Illustrator for layout awareness).
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience with visual hierarchy, color theory, typography, and layout principles.
  • U.S. Citizenship Required.
  • Must be able to obtain a Tier 1 Background Investigation.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with Department of Defense branding and communication policies (ex. Tongue and Quill).
  • Certifications such as HubSpot Content Marketing Certification, Digital Marketing Institute (DMI), or Certified Digital Marketing Professional (CDMP).

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the inventory and maintenance of audiovisual/computer-related equipment.
  • Assist with the ordering, storing, coding/entering inventory into the database, and disposing of all audiovisual/computer-related equipment.
  • Create, design, and edit all digital signage.
  • Provide digital design consultation to members and programs.
  • Support communications and marketing activities, exhibiting expertise in professional marketing and mass communications.
  • Lead and participate in a team of mass communications professionals to achieve strategic communications goals.
  • Ensure all products developed meet the requirements set forth in the AFRL/PA brand book and other applicable requirements for the development of branding, creating logos, coins, and marketing materials.
  • Participate in and support other projects within skill sets, which may include writing continuity documents, attending or presenting at local eLearning symposiums, defining capabilities for potential customers, collaborating with local colleges or multi-service partners, and supporting other special projects.
