About The Position

We are seeking a creative, detail-oriented, and digitally focused Marketing Assistant to support the organization's marketing and communications efforts. This position will primarily focus on digital marketing, graphic design, website management, social media, content creation, and the development of marketing collateral. The Marketing Assistant will work closely with the Director of Development and Strategy to execute marketing initiatives, maintain a consistent organizational brand, and create engaging materials that promote Four Rivers Community Health, its services, programs, providers, events, and community impact. The ideal candidate is a strong visual communicator who enjoys creating content, managing multiple projects, and turning ideas into polished digital and print materials. While the primary focus of this position is digital and creative marketing, the Marketing Assistant will also occasionally assist with community events, sponsorships, outreach activities, and other organizational initiatives.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree in marketing, communications, graphic design, digital media, business, or a related field; relevant education, training, and/or professional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Candidates should demonstrate strong written communication, organization, creativity, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Experience with graphic design and digital content creation platforms such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar programs is preferred.
  • Experience managing organizational or professional social media accounts is preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of digital marketing, social media analytics, website management, photography, video editing, email marketing, or digital advertising is preferred.
  • A portfolio or examples of previous graphic design, social media, digital marketing, or creative work may be requested during the interview process.
  • Strong visual design skills and creative judgment.
  • Excellent written communication, grammar, spelling, and proofreading skills.
  • Ability to create engaging content for a variety of audiences and platforms.
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms and digital communication.
  • Ability to maintain brand consistency across digital and printed materials.

  • Ability to occasionally transport, set up, and break down marketing materials, signage, displays, and event supplies.
  • Ability to manage varying and occasionally high levels of activity, deadlines, and interruptions.
  • Ability to travel to Four Rivers locations, community events, and other locations as needed. Must be able to drive.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development and execution of digital marketing strategies across the organization.
  • Create, schedule, publish, and maintain engaging content across organizational social media platforms, primarily including Facebook, and other platforms as appropriate.
  • Develop social media graphics, captions, campaigns, announcements, promotional content, and other digital assets.
  • Maintain an organized social media and content calendar to support consistent communication across departments, locations, programs, and service lines.
  • Monitor social media platforms for comments, messages, engagement, and opportunities for interaction or follow-up.
  • Support digital advertising and promotional campaigns as needed.
  • Design professional and visually engaging marketing materials while maintaining established organizational brand standards.
  • Create digital and print materials including social media graphics, flyers, brochures, rack cards, posters, signage, advertisements, presentations, handouts, invitations, event materials, and other promotional collateral.
  • Develop materials supporting clinical services, community programs, recruitment, employee initiatives, organizational events, and public awareness campaigns.
  • Maintain consistency in the use of organizational logos, colors, fonts, photography, messaging, and other brand elements.
  • Assist with photography, basic photo editing, video content, and short-form digital content as needed.
  • Update and revise existing marketing materials as information, services, providers, locations, or organizational needs change.
  • Communicate with our contracted website management provider in a timely fashion with accurate information, to ensure website information remains current, accurate, visually consistent, and easy for patients and community members to navigate.
  • Create webpage content and graphics as new programs, services, campaigns, and organizational initiatives are introduced.
  • Regularly review website content for outdated information, broken links, inconsistencies, or opportunities for improvement.
  • Support basic search engine optimization and web accessibility best practices when applicable.
  • Develop and maintain marketing collateral for Four Rivers locations, departments, programs, and service lines.
  • Help ensure all public-facing materials reflect organizational brand standards and messaging.
  • Maintain templates and commonly used marketing resources to improve consistency and efficiency across the organization.
  • Coordinate printing and production of brochures, signage, banners, promotional materials, and other collateral.
  • Communicate with printers, promotional vendors, advertising partners, and other external vendors as needed.
  • Assist departments with marketing and design requests while helping ensure materials align with the overall organizational brand.
  • Assist with the planning and execution of marketing campaigns for organizational services, programs, providers, events, and initiatives.
  • Help develop campaign concepts, messaging, graphics, and supporting materials across digital and traditional marketing channels.
  • Assist with email communications, newsletters, digital announcements, and other organizational communications as needed.
  • Support recruitment marketing and employee-focused communications in collaboration with Human Resources and leadership.
  • Assist with basic market, audience, competitor, and community research when appropriate.
  • Help track project timelines, campaign deliverables, and marketing priorities.
  • Provide marketing support for community events, sponsorships, outreach initiatives, ribbon cuttings, health fairs, and organizational activities.
  • Develop promotional materials, signage, digital content, and other marketing assets for events.
  • Assist with event setup, coordination, photography, social media coverage, and other responsibilities as needed.
  • Represent Four Rivers Community Health professionally at community events and activities when requested.
  • Assist with sponsorship-related materials and community partnership initiatives as needed.
  • Work collaboratively with leadership, clinical teams, program staff, and other departments to identify and address marketing needs.
  • Manage multiple marketing projects simultaneously while meeting established deadlines.
  • Maintain organized records of marketing projects, assets, vendor information, and campaign materials.
  • Assist with special projects and organizational initiatives as assigned.
  • Perform other duties related to marketing, communications, and organizational development as needed.
