Position Overview We are seeking a high-performing Digital Marketing and Advertising Strategist to drive new client acquisition and long-term revenue growth for our digital marketing and advertising services. This role is responsible for identifying, pursuing, and closing new business opportunities while also managing client relationships post-sale to ensure retention, growth, and satisfaction. The ideal candidate combines strong consultative sales skills with strategic marketing expertise and the ability to own the client relationship throughout its lifecycle—from initial pitch through ongoing campaign performance and expansion.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of outside sales, business development, or account management experience (digital marketing, advertising, or media preferred)
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets
  • Experience managing client relationships post-sale, including retention and growth
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing channels (Google Ads, Meta Ads, SEO, analytics, email marketing, etc.)
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and negotiation skills
  • Ability to manage both new business development and ongoing client relationships
  • Proficiency with CRM systems and reporting tools
  • Hunter-closer mentality with the ability to farm and grow accounts
  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical skills
  • Relationship builder with high emotional intelligence
  • Results-driven and accountable
  • Organized with strong time and priority management

Responsibilities

  • Identify, prospect, and develop new business opportunities through networking, referrals, events, cold outreach, and strategic partnerships
  • Build and manage a robust sales pipeline to consistently meet or exceed revenue targets
  • Conduct discovery meetings to assess client marketing challenges, goals, and budgets
  • Develop customized digital marketing proposals and strategic recommendations
  • Present and sell digital advertising solutions including PPC, Streaming tv and audio, paid social, programmatic advertising, and analytics
  • Negotiate contracts and close new business deals
  • Maintain accurate CRM records and sales forecasts
  • Serve as the primary point of contact and strategic advisor for assigned client accounts
  • Lead client onboarding and ensure a smooth transition from sales to campaign execution
  • Maintain regular communication with clients through meetings, reporting, and performance reviews
  • Monitor campaign performance in collaboration with internal teams and provide strategic insights and recommendations
  • Ensure client satisfaction, retention, and achievement of agreed-upon KPIs
  • Proactively identify and resolve issues or risks to client success
  • Identify upsell, cross-sell, and renewal opportunities within existing accounts
  • Develop long-term account growth strategies aligned with client business objectives
  • Increase client lifetime value through expanded services and budget growth
  • Maintain strong relationships that lead to referrals and additional business opportunities
  • Translate client goals into comprehensive digital marketing strategies
  • Collaborate with internal marketing, creative, and analytics teams to develop and optimize campaigns
  • Provide insights into industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging marketing technologies
  • Align campaign strategy with measurable ROI and growth objectives
