About The Position

Easterseals NH Gammon Academy is dedicated to making a difference in the lives of youth aged 5-21, helping them develop social skills, succeed academically, and enjoy recreational experiences. The student population includes individuals with Autism, neurobehavioral challenges, mild cognitive impairments, and social/emotional disabilities. The Digital Learning Specialist plays a crucial role in assisting teachers to effectively integrate technology for assessing student learning, differentiating instruction, and creating rigorous, relevant, and engaging educational experiences. This involves conducting needs assessments, developing technology-related professional learning programs, and evaluating their impact on instructional practices and student learning. The organization, Easterseals New Hampshire and Vermont, serves approximately 18,000 children, adults, seniors, families, and veterans annually across two states, offering programs in early intervention, autism, intellectual and developmental disabilities, adult day and in-home care, behavioral health, family-centered practices for child welfare, housing, and substance use disorders. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree from accredited college or university
  • Meet minimum requirements of the NH State Board of Education
  • Minimum of three (3) years’ Pre-K-12 classroom teaching experience
  • Experience or education in the field of Computer science/technology required
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Nice To Haves

  • Special Education experience or certification preferred
  • Digital Learning Specialist Endorsement, preferred

Responsibilities

  • Assists teachers in using technology effectively with differentiation, rigor, relevance and engaging learning experiences in their practice of teaching, learning and assessment
  • Coaches and models responsible and safe participation in the digital world for staff and students
  • Develops and delivers innovative professional learning opportunities and evaluates the impact on instructional practice and student learning
  • Inspires and participates in the development and implementation of a shared vision for the comprehensive integration of technology to promote excellence and support transformational change throughout the instructional environment
  • Evaluate technology needs as it relates to curriculum to develop an annual building-level technology budget
