About The Position

Step inside the newsroom where stories break, voices matter, and information moves at the speed of now. We’re looking for a passionate, curious, and driven Digital Intern to join our team for Summer 2026. As part of a forward-thinking media organization, you won’t just observe—you’ll actively contribute to the storytelling that informs and connects our community across our digital platforms. Sinclair’s Digital: We create experiences that bridge the gap between traditional and modern media. Our group’s foundation is derived from one core principle, to bring the most engaging news, sports, lifestyle, and entertainment experiences to web, mobile, and over-the-top broadcasting audiences all over the country. For digital storytelling, this is your opportunity to experience what modern journalism really looks like.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age
Be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program, or a recent graduate
Be at least a sophomore at an accredited college/university
Be eligible to work in the United States
Be available on-site at KSNV in Las Vegas, NV approximately 15 hours per week for 10 weeks
Be able to start between June 1 – June 19, 2026
Have reliable transportation (housing/relocation is not provided)
Be passionate about digital local news, storytelling, and community impact
Thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

Responsibilities

Create & Contribute: See how we conduct research, write, and produce digital news stories for our digital platforms
Be Where the Action Is: Learn by being alongside reporters, anchors, producers, and photographers—both in the newsroom and out in the field
Pitch Ideas: Bring fresh story ideas to the table and help shape coverage that matters to our audience
Get 1st hand knowledge: Learn how we shoot video, frame compelling visuals, and understand what makes a story stand out
Behind the Scenes: Gain exposure to control room operations and how live broadcasts come together in real time
