About The Position

The Digital Inside Sales Representative owns the end-to-end remarketing lifecycle for the company’s available equipment inventory — vehicle evaluations, channel selection, listing/content management, title and registration handling, and logistics coordination — across retail, wholesale, and auction channels. The DISR transacts sales directly on inbound inquiries and routes leads as appropriate.

Requirements

  • 2+ years in inside sales, equipment/wholesale sales, or online inventory/listing management (heavy equipment, automotive, or similar asset-based industry preferred).
  • Demonstrated ability to close sales directly with customers, brokers, or wholesale/auction buyers — not just qualify/hand off.
  • Experience managing online listings across multiple platforms.
  • Working knowledge of remarketing/retargeting campaign execution (Google Ads, Meta Ads, or similar).
  • Proficient with CRM software.
  • Strong negotiation, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly organized self-starter, comfortable owning this function independently with no direct reports.

Nice To Haves

  • Existing relationships with auction houses, wholesale buyers, or brokers in the equipment industry.
  • Experience coordinating logistics, freight, and title/registration handoff for sold assets.
  • Photography/basic content editing skills for listing quality.
  • Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Fleet, Finance, Sales, and Operations to provide market data and recommendations on asset lifecycle timing and disposal strategy.
  • Monitor pricing trends, product mix, and market dynamics to optimize disposition outcomes across channels.
  • Develop and expand remarketing strategy across retail, wholesale, and auction channels.
  • Establish and grow relationships with auction houses, dealers, brokers, and wholesale buyers.
  • Identify new channel opportunities and strengthen existing wholesale/auction relationships.
  • Maintain accurate online listings of all available inventory across the company website and third-party marketplaces.
  • Keep equipment status (available, pending, sold, on hold) updated in real time.
  • Build and syndicate detailed listings — specs, hour-meter data, condition notes, pricing, high-quality photos and video.
  • Request and coordinate photos, inspections, and unit evaluations from Operations or the assigned sales rep (particularly for units currently on rent).
  • Monitor inventory aging (30/60/90+ days) and flag stale listings for pricing review or renewed marketing push.
  • Respond to and transact all inbound leads/inquiries directly, negotiating pricing and terms through close, and routing leads as necessary.
  • Prepare quotes, paperwork, and coordinate financing, freight/transport costs, and trade details as needed to close.
  • Coordinate logistics for sold units — pickup/delivery scheduling, freight arrangements, and communication with transport or service teams.
  • Manage title and registration handling for sold/transferred units.
  • Coordinate reconditioning/shop timelines with Operations for trade-ins or units needing service before listing.
  • Provide regular status updates to customers, wholesale/auction buyers, and internal sales reps on unit availability, shop/inspection status, and sale progress.
  • Maintain clean, accurate CRM records — pipeline, follow-ups, and interaction history for every lead and buyer.
  • Track and report on inventory turn, days-to-sale, listing performance, and wholesale/auction volume.
