About The Position

AECOM is seeking a highly motivated intern to support its Technology Solutions and Digital Infrastructure practice. The role is intended for a student pursuing a relevant engineering, construction, or engineering technology degree who is interested in a career involving telecommunications and digital infrastructure. Working with experienced engineers, designers, project managers, and technical specialists, the intern will support the planning, design, coordination, and delivery of telecommunications infrastructure projects. The internship provides hands-on experience with fiber optic networks, outside plant (OSP) and inside plant (ISP) telecommunications systems, underground infrastructure, data center connectivity, and large-scale infrastructure programs. The intern will work with project drawings, specifications, quantity takeoffs, design documentation, and multidisciplinary project teams, gaining progressively greater responsibility and practical engineering and project delivery skills. The position requires a hybrid work schedule, including scheduled in-office work in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Relocation assistance and sponsorship for U.S. employment authorization are not available. Newly hired employees must attend an in-person Day 1 onboarding at an AECOM office as a condition of employment.
