About The Position

In the Digital Health Advisor role, you will work closely with the Healthcare Quality Improvement (HCQIP) analytical and clinical staff to support healthcare technology tools, data management, and digital health advancement. The Digital Health Advisor role involves collaborating with health providers to assess their digital readiness, providing technical assistance, and contributing to the improvement of technical environments that support healthcare delivery and quality improvement.

Requirements

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to credibly speak to clients with confidence--making recommendations and explaining their value to technology leaders in provider organizations.
  • Ability to engage deeply with technical teams, customers, and leadership.
  • Familiarity with clinical documentation improvement programs.
  • Knowledge, or ability to learn, Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources (FHIR), Clinical Quality Language (CQL), Clinical decision support (CDS), and information exchange and reporting.
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to work on multiple projects.
  • Ability to change priorities as needed while maintaining precision, diligence and attention to detail.
  • Ability to produce assigned deliverables within assigned deadlines.
  • Ability to travel to provider locations, required.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or related field, required.
  • Five (5) years of professional experience in technical roles, required.
  • At least three (3) years working in a healthcare environment, with a strong understanding of medical records, health data security, and relevant federal and state laws and regulations.
  • Experience in electronic health records (EHR) and Health Information Technology (HIT) solutions.

  • Master’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborating with health providers, including hospitals, nursing homes, physician offices, to assess digital readiness.
  • Providing technical assistance to enhance providers' technical environments supporting healthcare delivery.
  • Assisting in data organization, collection, and communication with clients.
  • Contributing to the implementation and improvement of electronic health records (EHR) and Health Information Technology (HIT) solutions.
  • Leading teams in the production of monthly and quarterly reports in designated technology systems.
