About The Position

The Digital Fundraising & Online Giving Manager will lead the strategy, execution, and growth of Laudato Si’ Movement’s online giving program under the direction of the Senior Development Director. This person will develop bold, creative, and compelling digital campaigns that inspire people to give and deepen their connection to LSM’s mission. The ideal candidate combines strong fundraising instincts with digital marketing expertise, persuasive storytelling, and a willingness to test emerging technologies and unconventional ideas. They will closely monitor donor behavior and sector trends, using data and experimentation to strengthen donor acquisition, retention, engagement, and revenue. This position is not designed for someone seeking simply to complete an assigned list of tasks; we are looking for a highly motivated builder who will treat the online giving program as their own, constantly looking for ways to make it more creative, effective, innovative, and successful. Requirements

  • Endorses and embodies LSM values and the Laudato Si’ paradigm in behavior and words; comfortable supporting and working in a faith-based environment.
  • At least 3–5 years of experience in digital fundraising, online giving, nonprofit marketing, donor communications, or a closely related field, with demonstrated responsibility for fundraising campaigns.
  • A track record of developing or advancing creative digital campaigns that generated measurable engagement, donor growth, or revenue.
  • Strong knowledge of digital fundraising best practices, including donor acquisition, segmentation, conversion, monthly giving, retention, stewardship, and campaign optimization.
  • The ability to assess an established program, recognize what is already working, and identify strategic opportunities to elevate its reach, sophistication, and results.
  • Exceptional writing and storytelling skills, with the ability to translate complex global issues into accessible and emotionally compelling reasons to give.
  • Strong analytical skills and demonstrated experience using campaign data to make decisions, test ideas, and improve results.
  • Familiarity with email marketing platforms, donor databases or CRMs, online donation platforms, website content-management systems, analytics tools, and social media channels.
  • An entrepreneurial and experimental mindset, with the confidence to propose bold ideas, question conventional approaches, and thoughtfully push the boundaries of traditional nonprofit fundraising.
  • A strong sense of ownership and personal accountability. This role is best suited to a proactive, deeply engaged professional who looks beyond assigned tasks, anticipates what is needed, and remains invested in results from concept through execution and evaluation.
  • Strong awareness of emerging digital trends, technologies, platforms, and artificial intelligence tools relevant to fundraising and donor engagement.
  • Ability to independently manage multiple campaigns, maintain a detailed production calendar, meet deadlines, and coordinate effectively across departments and time zones.
  • Strong collaborative instincts and the ability to balance creative ambition with LSM’s mission, Catholic identity, global audience, and organizational priorities.
  • Fluency in English.

  • Experience with Opus Clip and Cap Cut is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, and figma.
  • Experience with DonorBox.
  • Experience managing international or multilingual digital fundraising campaigns.
  • Experience strengthening or expanding a monthly giving program.
  • Familiarity with fundraising for climate, environmental, faith-based, advocacy, or global movement-building organizations.
  • Experience with digital advertising, peer-to-peer fundraising, marketing automation, conversion-rate optimization, or emerging fundraising technologies.
  • Other languages are useful - French, Spanish, and Italian.

Responsibilities

  • Elevate LSM’s established online fundraising program, identifying opportunities to expand its reach, deepen donor engagement, and increase sustainable revenue.
  • Develop and manage a comprehensive online fundraising strategy encompassing annual appeals, rapid-response campaigns, monthly giving, donor acquisition, and other digital initiatives.
  • Create and manage an annual online solicitation calendar with clearly defined audiences, messages, channels, revenue goals, and performance benchmarks.
  • Develop fresh, compelling campaign concepts and write persuasive donor-facing content for email, online giving pages, social media, digital advertising, and other channels.
  • Strengthen segmented donor journeys that move supporters from initial engagement to a first gift, repeat giving, monthly giving, increased giving, and long-term commitment to LSM.
  • Track and analyze key performance indicators, including conversion rates, average gift size, donor acquisition costs, donor retention, recurring giving, email performance, and overall campaign revenue.
  • Lead ongoing testing and optimization of subject lines, messaging, creative content, audience segmentation, donation forms, landing pages, campaign timing, and calls to action.
  • Identify and evaluate emerging fundraising trends, platforms, artificial intelligence tools, payment technologies, and other innovations that could advance LSM’s online giving program.
  • Collaborate with the Development, Communications, Programs, and Technology teams to produce integrated campaigns that reflect LSM’s global mission, Catholic identity, and brand.
  • Strengthen the online donor experience through timely acknowledgments, impact communications, personalized stewardship, and meaningful opportunities for continued engagement.
