About The Position

Steampunk is seeking a Digital Forensics Analyst to join an innovative, creative, and energetic team supporting a government client. This role involves supporting a dynamic team that provides engineering services across a variety of platforms and technology. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, interested in learning the latest technology, and possess a proven ability to learn quickly and apply training to solve real-world engineering problems.

Requirements

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance.
  • Minimum of Five (5) years of experience managing IT systems at the senior level; OR Associate's Degree, with a preference of Bachelor’s degree, or higher, in an IT-related field.
  • Minimum of one technical certification (e.g., MCSE, MCSD, MCSA, Red Hat) or computer forensics certification (e.g., SCERS, BCERT, CART)
  • Strong customer service skills, teaming skills, and the ability to collaborate within a cross-functional team.
  • Strong system and network troubleshooting ability.
  • Computer forensics training experience.
  • Ability to research and resolve problems efficiently and accurately.
  • Documentation skills, including SOP creation, lifecycle documentation, and task management.
  • Proactive approach to identifying issues, developing solutions, and providing data and metrics to management.

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to maintain workload in a fast-paced environment with rapidly changing priorities.
  • Experience supporting systems in Agile and DevOps environments.

Responsibilities

  • Develop data warehouses, lakes, lakehouses, data governance, and services
  • Support data collection
  • Implement data pipelines
  • Perform extractions and examinations with tools such as Cellebrite, Axiom, GrayKey
  • Address technical challenges of customization, integration, and functionality
  • Plan and schedule the installation of new or modified hardware and operating systems and applications software; manage accounts, network rights, and access to systems and equipment
  • Manage systems resources including performance, capacity, availability, serviceability, and recoverability
  • Resolve hardware and software interface and interoperability problems
  • Integrate hardware and software components within the systems environment
  • Evaluate new systems engineering technologies and their effect on the operating environment; manage the installation and integration of systems fixes, updates, and enhancements
  • Interface with clients and solve user requests
