About The Position

The Digital Engagement Manager will support the Bible League International’s mission by implementing and managing donor-focused marketing initiatives across email, social media, and website channels. This role, reporting to the Digital Marketing Director, is responsible for designing, executing, and evaluating digital campaigns that engage and inspire donors and followers. The Digital Engagement Manager will also demonstrate technical proficiency with marketing platforms, analytical strength in campaign performance measurement, and collaborative communication skills within a creative, ministry-focused environment.

Requirements

  • Must be a Christian, having a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Must also agree with our statement of faith and conduct his/herself in a Christ-like manner.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Digital Media, or related field.
  • Minimum of 4–6 years of professional experience in digital marketing, with a proven track record of building, deploying, and managing full-stack campaigns (email, web, and social media).
  • Advanced hands-on experience with CRMs, email marketing platforms, and CMS tools (e.g., Virtuous CRM, Mailchimp, WordPress, FlexFormz) with the ability to troubleshoot basic technical hurdles independently.
  • Good understanding of campaign attribution tracking, including the hands-on ability to build and append custom URL parameters (UTMs, motivation codes) to accurately measure donor acquisition sources.
  • Experience planning, managing, and evaluating paid campaigns (Meta, Google Ads, TikTok, LinkedIn) alongside organic community building.
  • Strong proficiency with Google Analytics and platform-specific insights excels in how to translate data into immediate, actionable optimizations and A/B tests.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to diligently prioritize multiple projects, tight deadlines, and shifting priorities in a fast-paced, Scrum-oriented digital environment.
  • A self-starter who is adept at working both collaboratively across global teams and independently. You have a "figure it out" mentality when faced with new platforms or technical challenges.
  • Excellent communication skills with the cultural emotional intelligence needed to work with international contributors and represent the ministry's mission with care and excellence.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally, as needed. Estimated to be approximately 10% per year.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in nonprofit or faith-based marketing, specifically with an aptitude for writing donor-centered copy.
  • Comfortable troubleshooting basic HTML/CSS (specifically for email rendering, form styling, and CMS tweaks).
  • Experience utilizing Generative AI and/or no-code automation tools (Zapier, Make) to accelerate workflows and content production.
  • A strategic mindset for Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) and regular A/B testing to maximize donor engagement.
  • Familiarity with agile, short-form video editing (CapCut, Adobe Express, & Adobe Rush) to quickly adapt stories for digital audiences.
  • A strong background in visual design and User Experience (UX), bringing a user-centric approach to how digital assets are structured to maximize donor engagement and conversion.
  • Knowledge of CRM, automated workflows, or donor database systems (e.g., Virtuous).
  • Professional certifications in Google Analytics, Meta Ads, or related digital platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, schedule, and execute email and digital marketing campaigns that are highly effective in fostering donor engagement. Must be comfortable moving beyond drag-and-drop builders to troubleshoot basic HTML/CSS code blocks, test responsiveness, and optimize.
  • Design and execute regular A/B test emails (e.g., short vs. long copy, subject lines, design layouts) to continually optimize open rates, click-throughs, and donor conversion.
  • Actively utilize AI tools as a core part of their daily workflow to scale content production, rapidly generate copy variations, troubleshoot code snippets, and optimize digital strategies.
  • Capture, edit, and produce digital content (copy, graphics, and agile video) for web, social media, and email communications. Ensure all assets align with brand standards, messaging guidelines, and accessibility best practices.
  • Manage and monitor organic social media channels to ensure effective audience engagement. Assist in the planning, setup, and optimization of paid advertising campaigns (Google, Meta, etc.), adjusting strategies based on real-time data.
  • Track, analyze, and report on campaign performance metrics (engagement, conversion, and ROI). Make proactive, data-informed recommendations to the Digital Marketing Director to improve results mid-campaign.
