About The Position

Boeing Space, Intelligence & Weapons Systems has an exciting opportunity for an Entry-level Digital Electronics Circuit & Unit Hardware Design Engineer to join the Space Digital Products & Electronics team in El Segundo, CA. This role is for individuals passionate about crafting the digital heart of communication satellites, designing and implementing the digital circuitry that drives satellite functionality. Expertise in digital signal processing, data communication, digital control systems, and embedded systems will be instrumental. Collaboration with cross-functional teams will ensure seamless integration of digital components for efficient data processing and communication within the satellite. This position offers a unique cradle-to-grave work experience in satellite development, with an on-site satellite factory and co-located electronics teams fostering high collaboration and communication. The proximity to the factory allows for turning concepts into reality on-site. Abundant tools, resources, and a comprehensive database of prior and ongoing engineering work are available. World-class engineers and mentors are readily available for collaboration and expertise sharing. Requirements

Ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship as a condition of employment.
An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required
Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus in Electrical, Mechanical or Aeronautical), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
Experience or coursework with Analog or Digital Electronics, Circuits, or Hardware

Nice To Haves

Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering
Industry experience with digital electronics hardware development
Circuit design and analysis experience
Experience in designing, analyzing and testing complex Electronic Circuit Card Assemblies and Units: including generating schematics, performing IR drop, signal integrity and timing analysis
Experience with schematic capture and layout rules, and circuit analysis tools
Firmware, Microprocessor or other Hardware oriented experience can be helpful
Active Top Secret or Top Secret/SCI

Responsibilities

Design and development of state-of-the art digital circuit & unit hardware / digital electronics for aerospace applications
Electronics design, requirements and interface definition, modeling and analysis, testing, performance and design verification
Technical support for production and test of electronic products
Support projects involving Electronics design
Maintain detailed requirements and specifications for various electronic products
Develop detailed designs of limited scope
Conducts various methods of testing and analysis to support design
Capture data for technical performance measures and performs basic analysis
Provide basic engineering support throughout the lifecycle of the product
Conducts trade studies and literature research to support future product designs
