About The Position

Elevate Outdoor Collective is an alliance of iconic outdoor and winter sports brands. The Digital Designer is responsible for designing front-end solutions for brand digital websites, emails, advertisements, social media, and blogs. This role requires knowledge of visual and interactive design, user experience, and web technologies. The designer will collaborate with in-house teams and individual brands on various projects, including email designs, website banners, social campaigns, site redesigns, product launches, new UI/UX features, and digital marketing launches. The position reports to the UI/UX Design Manager and will work with e-commerce team members and brand designers, potentially acting as the sole designer on select projects. The role also involves contributing to process improvement, identifying inefficiencies, introducing smarter workflows, and leveraging emerging tools, particularly AI, to enhance productivity, creativity, and scalability.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, digital design, visual communications, product design, UI design, or a related field.
  • Understanding of the fundamentals of Visual Communication.
  • Strong knowledge of design software programs including Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, InDesign).
  • Strong knowledge of mockup programs like Figma.
  • Awareness of emerging design technologies and tools, including AI-assisted design platforms, with the ability to apply them to improve workflows, efficiency, and creative output.
  • Strong portfolio of design work, showing solution to design problems through effective design.
  • Experience with designing e-commerce websites, emails or advertising.
  • Experience with photo and video editing.
  • Experience with working in a collaborative team environment.
  • Ability to communicate user experience and interface design through sketches, user flows, and wireframes.
  • Knowledge of current digital design best practices and web production techniques and understanding of user behavior as it relates to design.
  • Must be organized, self-motivated, and able to switch rapidly between different projects in fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to sit for long periods of time.
  • Ability to enter data for long periods of time.
  • Ability to sit in front of computer for long periods of time.
  • Ability to speak and hear.

Responsibilities

  • Creating and designing engaging and effective design solutions that engage the consumer across various platforms (Mobile, Desktop, Email, Social).
  • Create digital assets for multimedia projects, including websites graphics, banner advertisements, and interactive displays.
  • Translating marketing and business needs into dynamic and innovative solutions that provide the best possible user experiences.
  • Collaborating with the e-commerce and marketing teams to ensure that all designs align with the brand image, while also meeting usability and website standards.
  • Execute marketing stories with the e-commerce, digital, and email positions.
  • Follow brand’s style-guides to keep websites/emails cohesive with marketing campaigns.
  • Update and create new website UI using design systems.
  • Communicating ideas by means of pencil sketches, wireframes and mockups in Figma, Adobe XD, Photoshop or other wireframing tools.
  • Help coordinate our content management software and dynamic imaging platform.
  • Prepping designs for handing over to developers (Redlines, specs and organized to-size files).
