Digital Design Manager | Power Interface

Texas Instruments•Dallas, TX

About The Position

Texas Instruments is seeking a Digital Design Manager to lead a research or technical design function responsible for designing, developing, modifying, and evaluating USB PD controllers for consumer, industrial, and automotive industries. The Power Interface team contributes to evolving USB PD controller solutions, addressing design challenges with new architectures and TI technologies. The role leads USB-PD controller design involving 100–300K gates of digital logic, an ARM M0+ processor with peripherals on an AHB bus, memory macros, and more than 500 signals at the analog/digital boundary. The manager takes an active role in product definition with the system team and drives the team and cross-functional collaboration through market ramp. Responsibilities also include preparing and presenting technical project reports and recommendations, and potentially selecting, developing, and evaluating personnel. Power Interface is a growing analog mixed-signal business developing ICs that provide power through USB Type-C and other protocols. Its products are used in consumer products and may include ARM M0 processor subsystems and integrated power paths.
