About The Position

HDR is hiring a Digital Delivery Lead in its Building Engineering Services Group. The role leads digital delivery for projects, overseeing the digital model environment and deliverables and providing direction to Digital Delivery Coordinators and Specialists. The lead works with Project Managers and production teams to establish and maintain project delivery plans, model and document-management infrastructure, and digital deliverables throughout the project lifecycle. The position supports technical execution, schedules, quality control, coordination, project closeout, and staff development, while communicating with HDR management, project teams, and clients.

Requirements

Technical degree or a combination of education and relevant experience.
At least 5 years of digital design (BIM element authoring) experience and 5 years of digital delivery (model management) experience.
Comprehensive understanding of discipline relationships and building-systems operations.
Advanced skill with 3D design software and document-management infrastructure.
Advanced skill with 3D coordination tools.
Advanced skill with Microsoft Office products and communication tools.
Familiarity with industry standards and practices, discipline codes, and specifications.
Familiarity with basic automation and programming applications for efficiency.
Familiarity with 3D design software add-ins and supporting applications.
Familiarity with content creation and management concepts.
Superior client service, communication, and presentation skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to provide first-line technical support.

Responsibilities

Provide direction to Digital Delivery Coordinators and Specialists and manage the project-level digital model environment and deliverables.
Work with the Project Manager to support the team in creating and maintaining the Digital Delivery Plan (DDP) and project initiation procedures, including establishing server infrastructure, discipline models, and scoped digital deliverables.
Execute digital deliverables and support production teams throughout the complete project lifecycle.
Provide technical support and communicate deliverable schedules to project teams.
Monitor model health and project coordination processes from planning through construction-document issuance.
Work autonomously and mentor and guide team members.
Oversee and contribute to developing and maintaining the Digital Delivery Plan.
Monitor establishment of the document management system and help maintain server infrastructure for multidisciplinary projects.
Ensure the team has the software, versions, access, and training needed to meet project requirements.
Generate and maintain model setup, including project information, coordinates, scales, orientations, scope boundaries, match-lines, views, sheets, and general models.
Monitor and maintain company standards and model health.
Host Digital Delivery coordination meetings with the Digital Design team to support quality control through design reviews and 3D coordination.
Communicate, coordinate, and compile project digital deliverables and exchange processes at predetermined milestones.
Archive projects at submittals and closeout.
Communicate and present effectively with HDR management, production staff, and clients.
Mentor staff to develop their skillsets.
Guide Project Managers in supporting project needs.
Collaborate with other Digital Delivery Leads to provide support and guidance.
