The Digital Creative Designer is a highly creative designer, content creator, and storyteller responsible for developing compelling digital fundraising and awareness creative across Seattle’s Union Gospel Mission’s marketing channels. This role focuses primarily on creating digital-first campaign creative including Meta, TikTok, display advertising, website homepage banners and web graphics, landing pages, splash pages, organic social content, and short-form video storytelling. The ideal candidate combines strong visual design skills with the ability to create authentic, emotionally compelling content that inspires audiences to engage and take action. This person is both conceptual and hands-on — someone who can generate fresh creative ideas, create high-performing fundraising content, edit short-form video, design engaging digital experiences, and continuously improve creative through testing and audience insights. The role requires someone who understands how to create content that feels real, human-centered, social-first, and emotionally resonant rather than overly corporate or overly produced. Approximately 90% of this role supports digital fundraising and awareness campaigns, with a smaller portion supporting select print collateral, event-related materials, and creative review for brand consistency. Portfolio submission is required for consideration. Why This Role Matters This is an opportunity to be part of something deeply meaningful while helping shape a growing digital-first marketing team focused on storytelling and measurable impact. At Seattle’s Union Gospel Mission, creative work directly supports life change. The ideal candidate will bring fresh ideas to life, help grow and retain monthly donors through emotionally compelling content, and play a meaningful role in helping change lives. More than 4 out of 5 graduates from the Mission’s long-term recovery program remain clean, sober, housed, and employed two years after graduation — more than twice the national average. This role is ideal for someone energized by purpose-driven creative work, digital experimentation, storytelling, and building campaigns that truly matter. This role may additionally oversee or mentor contractors, freelancers, interns, creative vendors, or production partners.
