About The Position

This is a non-payroll contractor opportunity for a Digital Content Writer, based remotely. The role is a fixed-term contract of 4-5 months with an hourly rate of $32.00 - $34.00, depending on experience. The Digital Content Writer will be responsible for writing and editing creative, compelling, and engaging marketing copy optimized for ecommerce experiences and digital channels, primarily supporting the PC Express business. The role involves cross-functional collaboration with stakeholders, maintaining copy standards, executing creative copy, and managing projects through an established workflow from concept to launch.

Requirements

  • Exceptional English creative writing and editing skills.
  • Previous copywriting experience in retail, online, or ecommerce.
  • Strong conceptual thinking.
  • Outstanding attention to detail.
  • Ability to collaborate with a team and work autonomously.
  • Ability to take direction and critique.
  • Ability to understand/apply/maintain brand tone of voice.
  • Ability to write in multiple voices, and work across multiple brands concurrently.

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual (English/French) an asset (but not mandatory).

Responsibilities

  • Write and edit creative, compelling, and engaging marketing copy optimized for ecommerce experiences and digital channels.
  • Support the PC Express business.
  • Work cross-functionally with stakeholders.
  • Maintain copy standards.
  • Execute creative copy.
  • Follow projects through an established workflow from concept to launch.
  • Collaborate with Design and Marketing teams to create compelling content for various communication channels, including marketing emails, onsite marketing creative, digital advertisements, social media marketing, push notifications, and print advertising.
  • Manage process issues with teams to ensure timelines are met and the delivery of information is efficient.
  • Participate in and contribute to creative meetings and reviews.
  • Work closely with multiple stakeholders to define copywriting guidelines that reflect PC Express brand standards.
  • Understand business needs of each project and combine with effective, unique copy and storytelling.
  • Coordinate copy translation and approvals from appropriate departments.
  • Maintain and update ecommerce content, researching industry best practices.
  • Work with legal departments where applicable.
