About The Position

As the Digital Content Team Manager at PPG, you oversee the strategy, governance, and reporting of digital content across all global business units and brands. You are responsible for ensuring that content published on PPG.com and related digital properties is high‑performing, strategically aligned, and consistently represented across regions and product portfolios. You lead PPG's enterprise content operations, including content migrations, content performance reporting, and the global adoption and management of the Kontent.ai CMS platform.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of experience in digital content strategy, web content management, SEO, analytics, and enterprise content operations.
  • 5+ years of leadership experience with experience managing content teams in a global organization.
  • Expertise with enterprise headless CMS platforms (Kontent.ai strongly preferred) and digital performance tools.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple complex projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with SAFe Agile methodologies and cross-functional collaboration frameworks.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a global team of digital content strategists and specialists focused on delivering high quality, scalable content across PPG.com.
  • Oversee team workflows, prioritization, and capacity planning to ensure timely delivery of content projects, migrations, and continued enhancements.
  • Partner closely with global marketing teams, brand managers, product owners, UX, IT, and business unit stakeholders to support integrated digital initiatives across PPG's digital portfolio.
  • Cultivate a collaborative, high-performance team culture that champions creativity, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Define and maintain a unified content strategy that supports all PPG business units and global brands, ensuring alignment to enterprise digital experience goals.
  • Drive the content planning process, including content migrations, governance frameworks, and content lifecycle management.
  • Establish global content standards and workflows that ensure consistency, accuracy, and adherence to PPG's brand, accessibility, and quality guidelines.
  • Serve as a subject-matter expert on content best practices, guiding stakeholders to make strategic, data-backed content decisions.
  • Lead and manage enterprise-scale content migrations to PPG.com, including planning, auditing, structuring, and quality assurance for migrated content.
  • Apply SEO, UX writing best practices, and data-driven insights to improve content performance, discoverability, and user engagement.
  • Lead AI Experience Optimization (AEO) efforts to ensure all content is structured, tagged, and authored for maximum discoverability and relevance within LLMs, chat-based search, and emerging AI-driven discovery channels.
  • Ensure all content meets PPG brand compliance, accessibility requirements, and technical standards within the Kontent.ai CMS platform.
  • Partner with UX, design, and digital product teams to ensure content supports seamless user journeys across PPG's digital ecosystem.
  • Own the global implementation, governance, and continuous improvement of the Kontent.ai CMS, supporting users across all regions and business units.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline content workflows, introduce new capabilities, and optimize PPG's digital content operations.
  • Maintain rigorous quality control for all published content, ensuring accuracy and consistency across PPG.com.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for global business units and brand teams seeking digital content support and strategic guidance.
  • Translate complex business requirements into actionable content plans, ensuring clear alignment with enterprise goals.
  • Provide consultation, training, and enablement to help stakeholders understand content performance, make informed decisions, and execute opportunities on PPG.com.
  • Foster strong relationships with business partners to support adoption of content governance and CMS best practices.
  • Track, analyze, and report on content performance using digital analytics tools to measure effectiveness and uncover opportunities.
  • Present insights, recommendations, and KPIs to leadership and business stakeholders to inform strategy and prioritization.
  • Ensure content KPIs align with PPG's broader digital transformation, brand, and business objectives.
