About The Position

At Wellstar, we are a dynamic and innovative healthcare organization focused on delivering exceptional care to our patients and the communities we serve. As we continue to grow, our Brand and Marketing Team is seeking a collaborative and detail-oriented Digital Content Manager to support the strategic vision of our digital ecosystem. Reporting to the Director of Digital Experience, this role is responsible for strategically planning content across the digital ecosystem to support the continuous evolution of our digital properties. This individual will identify content gaps and leverage internal functions to effectively map content priorities across channels, ensuring brand consistency, and aligning focus with consumer experience. The ideal candidate will be a data-driven decision-maker with the ability to collaborate across teams in pursuit of digital excellence.
Passionate about creating consumer-centric journeys, the Digital Content Manager will play a key role in enhancing how our customers interact with digital healthcare platforms. With a responsibility for planning, creating and delivering a tailored, multi-layered content strategy, this role will contribute to transforming digital content into meaningful journeys that account for the needs and expectations of every user. To achieve this, this role will collaborate closely with marketing service lines and the broader digital experience team to ensure alignment with a digital strategy that reinforces the brand and elevates the customer experience across our digital platforms.
A successful candidate must be a strategic thinker with exceptional writing skills, strong project management abilities, and the capacity to manage multiple initiatives in a fast-paced environment. Provide a portfolio demonstrating success in creating high-impact digital content across multiple platforms. Be able to lead and develop a creative team. Possess the technical skills to be proficient in CMS platforms, SEO, social media management tools, and video production. Maintain a strategic mindset with an ability to balance big-picture strategy with meticulous execution.

Requirements

• Bachelors Communications Studies/Speech Communication and Rhetoric-Preferred or Bachelors Digital Communications and Media/Multimedia-Preferred or Bachelors Marketing-Preferred or Bachelors Other / Related Field
• 5 years additional - Additional years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of minimum education requirement.
• Minimum 5 years in digital content management, preferably in healthcare or a related industry. Required
• Demonstrated expertise in content management systems (e.g., Sitecore, WordPress), email platforms (e.g., Salesforce Marketing Cloud), and analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics).
• Strong knowledge of SEO/SEM principles, UX writing, and digital/multimedia storytelling and production.
• Excellent project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work collaboratively and transparently with a diverse team.
• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, and collaboration tools such as Wrike, Asana or Trello.
• Possesses critical thinking and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development, maintenance, and execution of a consumer-first, SEO-focused content strategy to support digital experience.
• Collaborate with service line marketing team to develop an annual content calendar in alignment with key organizational needs.
• Develop, define and evolve content strategies that support user journeys and brand positioning.
• Engage the creative services team to carry out the timely execution of content strategy deliverables
• Integrate website and app content strategies with the annual marketing plan, ensuring alignment with broader brand objectives and service line marketing campaigns.
• Partner with internal, cross-departmental stakeholders to maximize efficacy in content creation and content utilization across the digital ecosystem.
• Provide training and guidance to team members and stakeholders on content strategies, processes, and best practices.
• Collaborate with marketing leadership and service line marketing teams to integrate campaigns and promotions into digital content while adhering to established standards and protocols.
• Partner in the monitoring of digital performance metrics and provide actionable recommendations to improve user experience and engagement.
• Conduct regular quality assurance (QA) testing to identify and address issues related to consumer journey pathways through a content lens.
• Support the integration of personalization tools into digital platforms to enhance the user journey.
• Help manage content updates within the CMS to ensure platforms remain up to date.
• Work with the digital experience team to enforce digital standards, guidelines, and best practices for website and app content, functionality, and performance.
• Develop and deploy a content strategy framework that helps internal teams audit and understand value of content types.
• Outline content lifecycle to support a deprecation and revitalization strategy across owned digital platforms.
• Utilize key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor content performance and inform iterative improvements in strategy and execution.
• Help identify trends and opportunities for continuous improvement based on data analysis and user feedback.
• Serve as an internal CX thought leader to help identify trends and innovative technologies, evolve best practices, review competitor activity, and uncover opportunities that help drive conversion, loyalty, and advocacy behaviors
• Evaluate competitors and research new approaches and tools that create best-in-class CX for patients and consumers
• Performs other duties as assigned
