About The Position

The Information Technology division in the Department of Accounts (DOA) is seeking a qualified individual for a Digital Content Specialist. DOA’s mission is to provide a uniform system of accounting, financial reporting, and internal control adequate to protect and account for the Commonwealth’s financial resources, while supporting and enhancing the recognition of Virginia as the best managed state in the union. This position serves as a Digital Content Specialist for the agency’s non-Cardinal development team. The primary purpose of the position is to provide timely updates to the agency’s public websites and intranet by working directly with all levels of agency staff. This position must ensure that the agency’s public websites and publicly hosted documents are accessible and compliant with state and federal standards. This position will be responsible for the content design and user experience for the public website and other applications. This position will be responsible for migrating the agency’s existing intranet site to SharePoint and for assisting the Web Application Modernization project. Work related to the Web Application Modernization project will consist of supporting other team members with UX/UI design for new and existing applications. Additionally, this position will be tasked with developing simple to moderately complex applications in ASP.NET and Power Platform.

Requirements

  • Developed code using at least one of the following languages: HTML5, SHTML, PHP, ColdFusion, C#, or Python and has knowledge of Microsoft SQL
  • Directly supported customers or gathered requirements from customers

Responsibilities
