About The Position

WSBT is seeking a Digital Content Producer to contribute to its digital and social media platforms and help keep all platforms updated. The producer will work closely with the Digital Executive Producer and Assignment Desk, determining the content and creative presentation for WSBT’s website and social platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube. This role joins an award-winning newsroom that leads the market in digital views and social media engagement.

The ideal candidate has solid news judgment, writes compelling and accurate content, can multitask and manage time effectively, and works well in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Strong leadership and communication skills, the ability to execute daily news strategies and goals, flexibility, and on-the-spot problem-solving ability are also important.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience working in a commercial TV newsroom is preferred; an entry-level candidate may also be considered.
• A Journalism degree is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Contribute content to WSBT’s digital and social media platforms.
• Help ensure all WSBT platforms are updated.
• Determine the content and creative presentation of content on WSBT’s website and social platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube.
