About The Position

This is a 12-month remote position focused on developing, managing, and coordinating digital content and vendor activities for online learning and professional development initiatives. The role requires a blend of digital content development, instructional design, project management, and vendor coordination skills, with a strong emphasis on accessibility and quality assurance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, Communications, Digital Media, Project Management, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience developing digital content and learning resources.
  • Experience managing projects involving multiple vendors and stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated experience developing asynchronous learning modules and online learning experiences.
  • Knowledge of instructional design principles and adult learning best practices.
  • Working knowledge of Section 508 accessibility requirements and WCAG 2.1 or higher.
  • Experience reviewing and remediating digital content for accessibility compliance.
  • Strong project management, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines simultaneously.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in K-12 education, higher education, government, or public-sector environments.
  • Experience with LMS platforms such as Canvas, Moodle, Schoology, or Blackboard.
  • Experience with digital authoring and multimedia tools such as Articulate 360, Rise, Storyline, Adobe Creative Cloud, Camtasia, or similar platforms.
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies and practices.
  • Certification in accessibility, project management, instructional design, or a related field, such as CAPM or IAAP CPACC.
  • Relevant training or certifications in instructional design, e-learning development, accessibility, or digital authoring tools.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, manage, and maintain digital content for online learning and professional development initiatives.
  • Edit and review multimedia content, including videos, graphics, presentations, e-learning modules, and web-based resources.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to transform content into effective asynchronous learning experiences.
  • Ensure consistency in branding, messaging, instructional quality, and user experience across digital products.
  • Design and develop self-paced learning modules using instructional design and adult learning best practices.
  • Support the development of online courses, learning pathways, microlearning experiences, and digital resource repositories.
  • Incorporate learner engagement strategies, assessments, and multimedia elements into asynchronous content.
  • Use learning management systems (LMS) and digital authoring tools to build, manage, and maintain learning experiences.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between internal stakeholders and external vendors, consultants, and service providers.
  • Coordinate project timelines, deliverables, reviews, approvals, and dependencies.
  • Monitor vendor deliverables to ensure they meet established quality, accessibility, and contractual requirements.
  • Facilitate project meetings, status updates, and stakeholder communications.
  • Track project risks, issues, dependencies, and resource requirements and escalate concerns as appropriate.
  • Maintain project documentation, schedules, and deliverable tracking.
  • Ensure digital content meets Section 508 accessibility requirements and applicable WCAG standards.
  • Conduct accessibility reviews and coordinate or perform remediation of digital materials.
  • Provide guidance to vendors and stakeholders on accessible digital design and content practices.
  • Conduct quality assurance reviews to ensure digital products are functional, learner-centered, accessible, and compliant.
  • Collaborate with leadership, program staff, instructional teams, technology teams, subject matter experts, and external partners.
  • Gather requirements and translate stakeholder needs into actionable project plans and deliverables.
  • Facilitate meetings, reviews, and working sessions as needed.
  • Support reporting, documentation, stakeholder communications, and continuous improvement initiatives.
