About The Position

Performs technical work in creating marketing and social media content for the City Commissioner Office of District 5. Primary duties include developing and posting engaging and informative web content and maintaining social media accounts. Employee is expected to exercise independent judgement, discretion, and initiative in performance of duties. Work is performed under general supervision and in accordance with established policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Journalism, Communications, or related field and one (1) year experience in website content development and social media management; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Valid Florida Driver's License required.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of CMS best practices
• Knowledge of social media/web trends
• Some familiarity with graphic design software, such as Adobe Creative Suite
