About The Position

The Digital Automation Engineer is a Digital Technology role focused on enterprise digital transformation—not industrial, manufacturing, controls, or factory automation. The role engineers intelligent automation solutions using technologies such as RPA, workflow orchestration, AI, and data capabilities, turning proofs of concept and minimum viable products into scalable, reliable, production-ready enterprise solutions. The position is hybrid at one of Collins Aerospace’s major facilities in Windsor Locks, Connecticut. The engineer works with business stakeholders, Digital Technology subject matter experts and service teams, and the India Automation Development team to shape, integrate, and scale automation across the enterprise. The position also provides technical mentorship and helps define engineering practices, improve reuse and maintainability, reduce technical debt, and establish documentation standards in partnership with architects. The role typically requires a university degree and at least 10 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field and at least 7 years of experience. The candidate must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future. The listed salary range is $132,400–$251,600 USD.
