As part of the ASSA ABLOY Group, a global leader in access solutions, ABLOY is seeking a Digital and Access Solutions Specialist for its Montreal location. This role serves as the technical expert for CLIQ products and other software solutions within the Canada region, working closely with sales teams, distribution partners, and the Abloy factory service team in Finland. The position requires regular travel, strong interpersonal skills, and customer sensitivity.

Requirements

  • Minimum Bachelor of Electronics Engineering / Information Technology / Computer Science or similar discipline.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Windows server operating system and Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in IT infrastructure such as firewalls, networks, DNS, proxy, domain, etc.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in IT security and technologies.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in software programming languages and integration technologies (SOAP, REST).
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in business continuity and disaster recovery.
  • Project management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Accompany sales teams and distribution partners with sales activities, deployments, and usage in regards to CLIQ projects at customers.
  • Provide technical expertise, support, and training of the Digital products, software, and service range in Canada and, by request, other countries for sales, partners, and end customers.
  • Provide documentation and tools for sales teams, distribution partners, and integrators for sales development.
  • Communicate to all stakeholders of Digital systems in the region about scheduled updates, new features of each update, service outages, unplanned incidents, and other notifications issued by the factory.
  • Detect customer needs and document solutions.
  • Analyze the market and surrounding technical evolutions, as well as competitors’ features and movements.
  • Define new development needs (functionalities, architecture, etc.).
  • Monitor product development and adaptations, follow the development of the solution with the teams concerned, and guarantee the adequacy of specifications and new developments.
  • Support alpha and beta tests as well as POCs in the region.
  • Know, measure, and share the value of the solutions produced throughout the economic chain (distributor, installer/integrator, end customer) by being in constant contact with customers and regional sales.
  • Participate in the development of the strategic plan for the product range in collaboration with business development.
