About The Position

The Apple Retail team is seeking an exceptional Digital Account Manager to craft and own the strategy of developing emerging third party partnerships and driving transformative growth in one of Retail’s most critical markets. In this role, you will leverage a deep understanding of retail trends, consumer insights, e-commerce platforms and the unique dynamics of Greater China to develop and execute impactful strategies that accelerate growth and innovation for Apple Retail. We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Digital Account Manager to drive the commercial performance of digital platform. This role requires a highly motivated individual who can develop and execute strategic plans, oversee key projects, and identify new growth opportunities. The ideal candidate will possess strong commercial acumen, excellent relationship management skills, and a deep understanding of digital platforms, customer experience, and business growth levers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in commercial strategy, go-to-market planning, or retail business management or a business development role in a Retail / Online - centric environment.
  • Proven ability to analyze market trends, consumer behavior, and business performance to develop actionable strategies.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence and drive cross-functional teams without direct authority.
  • Excellent communication, relationship-building, and executive presentation skills.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary liaison and strategic partner for key digital platforms, building and maintaining robust, long-term relationships with external platform stakeholders at all levels.
  • Lead Joint Business Planning (JBP) initiatives with platform partners, aligning Apple Retail’s commercial objectives with platform capabilities to secure exclusive resources and strategic support.
  • Conduct regular business reviews and knowledge-sharing sessions with key accounts to evaluate performance against mutual targets, identify areas for optimization, and collaboratively unlock new growth opportunities.
  • Maintain a high sensitivity to evolving digital platform capabilities, emerging commercial tools, and broader ecosystem trends.
  • Identify, evaluate, and develop new business models or platform capabilities that are uniquely suited to Apple Retail, capitalizing on emerging revenue streams and innovative monetization opportunities.
  • Champion digital innovation by deeply understanding diverse platform rules, algorithms, and traffic mechanisms.
  • Develop and present executive-level performance summaries, translating complex business metrics into actionable commercial recommendations and capability roadmaps.
  • Act as the central command for all platform initiatives, maintaining a comprehensive portfolio view to track project progress, milestones, timelines, and potential risks across the digital ecosystem.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams on implementation, actively gathering and synthesizing business requirements to inform commercial decisions.
  • Partner with the data analytics team to monitor post-launch outcomes, proactively flagging dependencies and risks, and implementing agile adjustments to guarantee optimal results.
  • Oversee daily platform administration, managing merchant-end commercial tool permissions, and overall platform coordination to ensure seamless daily operations.
  • Proactively monitor platform rule changes and track agreement renewals, ensuring the business maintains strict compliance with evolving platform policies and legal requirements.
  • Drive end-to-end vendor management, facilitating daily operational collaboration, coordinating financial processes, and conducting regular performance reviews to maintain high service standards.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to act as the commercial voice for the platform, ensuring specific business objectives and sales targets are integrated into broader GTM strategies and promotional calendars.
  • Manage the administrative workflow for updating commercial terms across the store to support new features and promotions.
  • Ensure promotional offer readiness by testing and validating the accuracy of all offers, guaranteeing they perfectly match the intended promotional design prior to launch.
