About The Position

Morrison Living is hiring immediately for a Clinical Dietitian position. This role is located at Kirkwood by the River in Birmingham, AL, within a Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC) setting. The schedule requires 8-16 hours per week with a flexible schedule, including some hours on Wednesdays. The primary responsibility is to provide Medical Nutrition Therapy and education in Senior Living, collaborating with a team to enhance patient outcomes through evidence-based nutrition care.

Requirements

Must be registered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (RDN).
Licensed Dietitian (or willing to obtain) in the state of practice as applicable.
Healthcare experience preferred—new graduates with strong clinical training are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

Perform comprehensive nutritional assessments and develop individualized care plans to promote recovery and improve health outcomes.
Provide guidance on nutrition and lifestyle strategies to support sustainable, long-term wellness to residents, families, staff, and the community.
Apply the latest research in alignment with the diet manual, company policies, and facility protocols to ensure high-quality, consistent care.
Contribute to QAPI initiatives aimed at advancing resident care and clinical excellence.
Partner with the food service management team to help achieve resident satisfaction and service goals.
Support the growth of staff and dietetic interns through education and training as applicable.
