About The Position

Sodexo is currently seeking a Registered Dietitian Part-Time to join their healthcare team at the Rehabilitation Hospital of the Pacific in Honolulu, Hawaii. The Rehabilitation Hospital of the Pacific has 80 beds and offers programs tailored to the medical and therapy needs of patients to allow them to reach optimal health and independence. This is a hands-on position with a census average of 60 patients.

Requirements

  • A Registered Dietitian certification with active Hawaii licensure or eligibility for state licensure
  • Demonstrated experience clinical role to support to a team
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with medical staff, ancillary teams, and administration, effectively representing Sodexo within the organization
  • Strong time‑management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks; self‑starter who works independently while thriving as a collaborative team member
  • Master's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)
  • For those eligible for the registration exam prior to 1/1/24: Bachelor's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)
  • Meets eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and will become registered within 120 days of hire.
  • Certification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice.
  • 3 years experienced practitioner able to work with minimal supervision

Responsibilities

  • Lead the clinical nutrition program, serving as the primary point of oversight with the opportunity to mentor, and train the team to ensure
  • Oversee patient services operations, including supervision and support of the Patient Service Team and Dietetic Ambassadors
  • Provide regular staff support and development, facilitating monthly training initiatives, safety activities, and team huddles to promote continuous improvement
  • Collaborate with the Chef‑Manager to develop patient menus that align with dietary standards, clinical guidelines, and patient satisfaction goals
