About The Position

Hampton Behavioral Health Center, a private behavioral healthcare center, provides advanced behavioral health, diagnostic treatment services for adults, adolescents, and older adults in both inpatient and outpatient programs. Their mission is centered on excellence in diagnosis, treatment, and education. The center is seeking a PER DIEM Registered Dietitian to join their inpatient clinical team. This role is crucial for providing nutritional care to patients with various disease states and conditions, recognizing that compromised nutrition can hinder healing and recovery, potentially extending hospital stays. Requirements

• Bachelor of Science or Arts Degree in Nutrition/Dietetics
• Must have a Registered Dietician Certification
• At least one year experience as Registered Dietician in a Healthcare setting
• Must have current CPR/BLS

Nice To Haves

• Psychiatric experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Monitor, assess, and optimize nutrition status based on the patient's current medical condition and/or nutrition adequacy.
• Coordinate medical and nutritional needs, and make recommendations for feedings and/or dietary supplements.
• Instruct patients on how to make nutritionally sound food choices to speed the recovery process, prevent disease and maintain a healthy lifestyle.
• Conduct Nutritional Assessments as needed with complete documentation in medical record in accordance with Healthcare policies of Hampton, NJ State and Joint Commission.
• Provide patient education individually and in group setting
