About The Position

As part of the team, you'll have the opportunity to care for patients with a variety of nutrition therapy needs including diabetes, oncology, critical care, long term care, and malnutrition. Morrison Healthcare at Mercy Health in Fort Smith, AR is a 280 bed regional hospital that includes a Level III Trauma Center and a brand new regional cancer center. The schedule is 1 day a week remote, with a rotating weekend schedule. Salary starts at $65,000+ (negotiable based on experience).

Requirements

Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) or CDR exam eligible
Licensed Dietitian (or willing to obtain) in the state of practice as applicable
Healthcare experience preferred—new graduates with strong clinical training are encouraged to apply

Responsibilities

Perform comprehensive nutritional assessments and develop individualized care plans to promote recovery and improve health outcomes
Provide guidance on nutrition and lifestyle strategies to support sustainable, long-term wellness to patients, families, staff, and the community
Apply the latest research in alignment with the diet manual, company policies, and facility protocols to ensure high-quality, consistent care
Contribute to QAPI initiatives aimed at advancing patient care and clinical excellence
Partner with the food service management team to help achieve patient satisfaction and service goals
Support the growth of staff and dietetic interns through education and training as applicable
