About The Position

Saratoga Medical has an exciting opportunity for a Dietician at Vernon, TX. This is a great full-time opportunity, Monday to Friday schedule, no holiday, after-hour, or weekend shifts. Please see qualifications below and submit your resume if you are interested in being considered:

Assignment Details:
Full-time position
Minimum 3-month assignment
Option to extend

Shift:
8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday
Shift pattern is subject to change as determined by the Food Services Director to meet needs of the hospital
No holiday, after-hour, or weekend shifts

Requirements

• BS in Dietetics and/or Nutrition from an accredited college or university
• Registered Dietician (RD) with the National Academy of Nutrition & Dietetics
• Licensed by the Texas State Board of Examiners
• Valid Texas driver’s license
• Minimum 2 years clinical experience as a Dietician
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• American Heart Association BLS/CPR certification
• Must comply with HHSC immunization requirements
• Must submit to required drug test and fingerprinting
• Must complete facility required training
• Knowledge of Joint Commission guidelines, CMS Standards, facility policies and directives

Responsibilities

• Provide nutrition care to patients throughout the hospital
• Create nutrition plans to improve patient health and physical conditions
• Analyze patients’ health status, goals, and dietary restrictions
• Track dietary intake and patient progress
• Educate patients on maintaining a balanced diet
• Consult with patients, families, and treatment teams regarding nutrition needs
• Write nutrition-related recommendations in medical records
• Approve patient menus and coordinate with the Food Services Director
