About The Position

Midlands Regional Rehabilitation Hospital in Elgin, South Carolina is seeking a Dietitian to join its patient-care team. The hospital provides inpatient rehabilitation for patients recovering from strokes, brain and spinal cord injuries, amputations, orthopedic injuries, and other debilitating conditions. Dietitians coordinate meal preparation and service with the Food Services Manager, taking general and special diets into account, and specify dietary requirements for patients with special restrictions or nutritional needs. The role integrates the hospital’s mission and Guiding Principles into daily practice.

Requirements

Current Dietitian license or certification by the Commission on Dietetics, as required by state.
Demonstrate understanding of treatment costs and financial support as they relate to quality and efficiency.
Knowledge of clinical operations and procedures.
General computer skills, including data entry, word processing, email, and record management.
Effective organizational and time management skills.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Ability to work closely and professionally with others.
Ability to maintain quality, safety, and/or infection control standards.
Ability to use appropriate leadership skills in delegating, organizing, and educating coworkers and staff.

Nice To Haves

One year of experience caring for patients in a hospital setting is preferred.
