It also involves optimizing self-management education for chronic conditions, recognizing nutritional needs based on cultural, ethnic, and religious beliefs, and evaluating treatment effectiveness using an evidence-based approach. The role includes working on nutrition care protocols, acting as a leader for the healthcare team in implementing nutrition therapies, educating on diets according to disease state, and incorporating new trends and techniques. Additionally, the position involves tailoring clinical education materials, performing quality control, maintaining infection control standards, being aware of insurance coverage and reimbursement, and participating in clinical performance improvement activities and research.
