Dietitian Specialist 3
About The Position
This position is responsible for completing inpatient and outpatient nutritional assessments and reassessments for patients in specialty areas. The role involves collaborating with health care team members to implement nutrition interventions and coordinating patient nutrition care. The Dietitian Specialist 3 will provide specialized nutrition education to patients and family members in individual and/or group settings, and arrange for outpatient referral to specialty clinics if necessary. The position also requires attending and participating in patient care meetings, team meetings, and quality meetings as assigned. Additionally, the role involves providing in-services and lectures to clinical staff, mentoring clinical dietitians and other health care team members to improve performance standards, and educating dietetic and medical students. The Dietitian Specialist 3 will also serve as a consultant for interns, residents, fellows, and attending physicians, and perform other duties as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s degree in Nutrition and Dietetics or Nutrition-related field required.
- Three years of clinical nutrition experience required.
- Certification from Commission on Dietetic registration (RD/RDN) required.
- Board Certified Specialty certification required within one year of hire or transfer, for outpatient clinic positions only.
- Able to read.
- Able to write legibly.

- Able to use computer and software programs necessary to the position.
- Able to troubleshoot and calibrate patient care equipment.
