About The Position

Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children is seeking a Dietitian, Registered who develops and implements nutritional care plans based on assessment of patient nutritional needs, taking into account both growth and disease state requirements. This position is for coverage in Pediatrics and Women's services, with a preference for Peds experience.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree from a U.S. regionally accredited university or college and coursework accredited or approved by the Commission on Accreditation of Dietetics Education (CADE) of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND).
  • Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND) registration required.
  • State of Florida licensure required.

Nice To Haves

  • Peds experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Writes orders per policy.
  • Counsels patients and/or significant others on nutritional principles, dietary plans, and food selections taking into account cultural and ethnic requests.
  • Communicates appropriate dietary history and nutritional care data through medical record documentation system.
  • Participates in physician and health care team interdisciplinary rounds.
  • Serves as the consultant on nutrition care.
  • Coordinates activities in the diet office as needed.
  • Adheres to Orlando Health policies, procedures, guidelines, mission and vision statements, and commitment to excellence.
  • Maintains reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
  • Maintains compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures.
